He started his medical career in the Navy as a Combat Field Medic (8404 Corpsman). During that six-year time, he was attached to the 3^rd Medical Battalion with the Marine Corps.

The next 20 years after the military he worked in different corporate capacities from recruiting to public health research and project management to information technology project management and advanced data analytics.

After completing his second master’s degree in public health informatics and certificate training in data analytics and software engineering, he knew what he wanted to do going forward.

Mr. Buchanan started Planning Analyses Northwest Technical Services (P.A.N.T.S), LLC to offer services in Public Health Informatics & Technology (PHIT) research, Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), advanced analytics and program management for the healthcare industry.
